The Customs duties received at this port yesterday were as under :
Trade continues dull, and quotations remain unaltered. One or two extensive auction sales of imported goods have been held during the week, at which current rates were accepted ; but owing to the slack demand many lines were withdrawn. At Mr. R. J. Duncan's sale yesterday, by order of Mr. Jas. O'Shea, the following prices were obtained under the hammer:—Morton's vermicelli, IOJd. per lb ; Guinness's stout (boar's head), 10s. 6d. per doz.; Thorn and Cameron's Scotch whisky, 4s. Bd.; 100 cases Hennessy's brandy, 31s. 6d.; 50 do Martell's, 30s. in bond; Bisquit Dubonche, 495. per case, duty paid; flask do, 5Ss. and 60s. per case ; 60 cises Pomeral claret, 235. per doz.; Medoc, 9s. ; 20 qrcasks sherry, 4s. 6d., 4s. 9d., and ss. per gallon ; 8 qr-casks Spanish red port, 4s. 6d. per gallon in bond; ginger wine, 16s. 6d. to ISs. per doz.; quinine do, 315.; Sydney IC sugar, £43 per ton : C do, £37 10s.; Java white, £39 ; brewers' crystals, £45 per ton ; qr-sardines, ss. Id. to ss. 2d.; Morton's salmon, Bs. and Bs. 3d.; Hapgood's do, Bs. 6(1. and Ss. 0(1. per doz.; eleme raisins, (id.; currants, sd. per lb.; 26 hf-chests tea, Nardoo, 2s. Id. and 2s. 3d. per lb.; boxes do, 2Cs. 6d.; 6 tons galvanised iron (Orb brand), £32 per ton ; 8 tons galvanised wire, No. 8, £23 per ton ; wire nails, 30s. to 335. per cwt.; Storer's white lead, £3S per ton ; potatoes, 70s. per ton ; bacon and hams, BJd. per lb.; milling wheat, 4s. 9d. per bushol; chicken do, 45.; Canterbury flour, £l2 to £l3, sacks and bags, per ton ; oats, 2s. sd. per bushel, &c. Mr. G. Thomas's sold, ex Shepherdess, from Motueka, 40 tons potatoes at from 60s. to 655. per ton. In colonial produce, prices are unaltered from last week's rates. BY TELEGRAPH. CHRISTCHURCH, Friday. Export prices f.o.b. at Lyttelton—Wheat, 4s. 9d. to 55.; oats, 2s. 2d.; barley, nominal; potatoes, 555. to 575. 6d.; cheese. Did.; butter. Is. 2d.; hams and bacon, 9Jd. in cloth; flour, £ll to £l2; bran, £5 10s.; sharps, £0 10s. AUCKLAND, Friday. Mr. Binney reports:—Dunedin flour, £l2 10s.; Christchurch do, £l2: pollard £7; bran, £6 10s.; oats, 2s. 7d.; barle}-, marked glutted ; maize, 4s. 6d.; butter, Is.: cheese, lOd.; hams and bacon, lOd: pearl barley, £23. Mr. Buckland reports:—Fat cattle, 255. to 335.; fat sheep, 3Jd.
