The import trade fduring the week has been dull, and with the exception of auction sales few transactions have come under notice. In colonial produce there has been little or no variation in prices, and only a limited amount of business done. Keg butter is quoted at Is Id per lb for a prime sample ; Canterbury cheese, lOd. Flour has shown a slight tendency to give way, owing to heavy, stocks and the receipt of several shipments from Adelaide. We cannot quote higher for Canterbury mills than £ll 5a per ton, and for Oamaru £ll 15s, for trade parcels. Hams and bacon arc coming forward in better supply, and are worth lOd to 12d per lb for prime. Oats have given way to a small extent, and good milling sorts are not worth more than 2s 8d per bushel; inferior, 2s to 2s 2d.
