Our columns to-day teem with news of political interest, from Mr Mac Andrew's speech to the electors of Port Chalmers to Mr Fitzherbert's address to those of the Hutt. The more furnishing of this news, however, denies us apace for comment, except in one particular. Mr MaoanDREwhas anticipated the judgment by a good many of his speech by mentioning what they would call it. We hasten to be the first to verify his anticipations. His speech is bunkum, pure bunkum, and we say so with no eye to the main chance, but with a view to the general good of the colony. . ■
