Mr. K. J. Duncan sold three cases of English leather, &c., by auction on Wednesday at the following rates Waxed kip butts, 3s. 6d. per lb.; French calfskins, withdrawn at Cs. 0(1 per lb.; Scotch kips, 2s. 9d.; gents'uppers, Bs. per pair; do calf-lined, Bs. 3d. to 95.; ladies' do, ss. to 6s. 9d.; block lasts, 2s. 9d.; ladies’ do, 25.; &c. In produce things are very quiet. Keg butter dull at lOd. to lid. for prime cure; cheese continues very scarce and in great demand, there being actually none in first hands; hams and bacon meet with ready sale at 13d, to 15d. per lb., and are scarce. Oats dull, prime samples are worth 3s. 3d. per bushel. There is a heavy stock of inferior feeding oats in the market, worth from 2s. lid. to 3s. 2d, Flour dull at £ll to £lllos. per ton for Canterbury and Oamaru Mills in bakers' parcels; maize, full stocks at 4s. lOd. for trade lots ; fowl's feed scarce, and worth 4s. Cd. per busheL James Smith sold by auction, on account of the General Government on Monday, ex Border Chief, from London, galvanised wire, damaged by sea water, at the following rates;—l ton, at £24; Uptons, at £22.

Fat cattle, 375. 6d. to 40s. per lOOlbs. ; halt or crossbreds, 13s. to 155.; wethers, in wool, 4d. to 41d.; shorn, Sid-: fat lambs, 10s, to 16s. Mr. Binney reports:—Flour, Oamaru, £l2; Dunedin, £1110s.; Christchurch, £10.; bran, £5 ; pollard, £0 ; oatmeal, £Xfi; pearl barley, £24; wheat, ss. 3d. ; oats, 2s 10d.; potatoes, £4; cheese, lid.; bacon and haras, Is.; butter. Is. Market glutted with all kinds of produce.
