The May [and Easby are among our arrivals; the former with a cargo of new season’s teas and Eastern produce for Messrs. W, and G. Turnbull and Co., and the Easby with several large parcels of sugar from the Sydney Sugar Refining Company. In colonial produce there is equally little alteration, with the exception of pota toes, which have considerably declined In value, sales having been made as low as 70s. per ton. Butter in kegs meets with little inquiry at lOd. to!2d. per lb., and as the price of fresh' butter Is rapidly declining, there is Uitle hope of improvement. Cheese continues scarce at lid per lb. for prime Canterbury. Bacon and hams dull, at lOd. and Is. 4d. per lb. Flour, nothing doing. Oats, ordinary trade demand, with no alteration on last week’s rate; we quote, 3s. to Ss. 4d. for good feeding sorts.

The opening sales of the season will commence.next week, by which time there will be a considerable quantity.in the warehouses. In the meantime, we have sold the usual small lots of greasy and handwashed lots at very good prices, considering the unfavorable reports received frome the Homo markets.

Subbphkins. —During the week we have hod a large supply of both green And dry skins forward, and hare

sold at the following prices, viz.:— For butcher'sP?®!} skins, 4s. to 7s. ,6d ; dry skins,,2s. to7s. each, and station skins. In bales, 6d. to Bd. per lb. v. . Hides.— We have had a; full supply _ forward or both Victorian and New Zealand, and have sold as follows, viz. :—Green ox, 245. to 355. ; + cows, 16s. to 235. each; Victorian wet-salted, 4jd. to 5a.. Now Zealand, sd. tosgd.; and calfskins, 6d. toW. —This article is in great demand,jand the supply is short. We have sold —Inferior, £-7 to £3O; mixed, £3l to £35; beef, £3l to £34; and mutton, £35 to £37 10s. per ton. , , t , Leather.—The market remains as last reported. Crop leather maintains its price, but dressed goods do not show any signs of improvement upon our present rates, which at our Tuesday’s sale were, for crop, lOja. to 12cl; kip, Is. sd. to Is. 10d.; calf, 3s. 2d. toSs. 9d.; runners. Is. lOd. to 2s. 3d.; waxed kangaroo, 2s. to 2s. 3d.; brown kangaroo. Is. 10d. to 2s. 3d.; wallaby, 2s. to 35.; and harness, 13d. to 14d. per lb.; and basils, ss. to 18s. per dozen. , A : Kangarooskins.—We have sold at 6d. to 14d. per lb., according to size and quality.
