MR. HARRISON AND HIS CONSTITUENTS.

TO TIIB EDITOR OF THE NEW ZEALAND TIMES. Sir, — As no doubt you will publish the telegram relating to a meeting held at Greymonth on Monday evening, may I ask you to publish my reply, which was telegraphed as follows Am equally in favor of abolition of provinces and better form of local government. but respectfully decline to allow my action to bo fettered or controlled by public meetings composed of only one section of my constituents, and which must necessarily have but an imperfect knowledge of large measures such as those now before Parliament. I shall, as I have hitherto done, do that which I think ia the best for the interests of the whole constituency. —His Worship the Mayor, Greymonth."—l am, &o. f W. H. Harrison.
