In spirits brandies are firmly held at last week's quotations, stocks of Hennessy’s case heimr nearly exhausted. Kerosene is in full supply, and* cannot be quoted higher than Is. lid. to 2s. Sugars are low in stock IC being worth £45 per ton, there being Uttle of the finer sorts of Mauritius in this market We understand that several shipments of Yarraville sugar are on the way. Candles have gone un Mnsiderably, and are just now worth 10}d.. but ther?*being over 2000 boxes to land from the William Pruinrtlie advance can only be temporary. There is not muchdoing in Adelaide flour, most of the bakers being stocked. Quotations range from £l4 to £l4 10s. peilton, according to parcel. Advices are to hand of the sailing of the Queen of the Jersey, from Adelaide, with 250 tons, consigned to Mr. It. J. Duncan, which must influence the market, Maize, os. per bushel; scarce and much wanted, - . , At Sir. K. J. Duncan's monthly auction sale of spirits, groceries, &c., a large amount ot goods were sold under the hammer at the following rates: 80 cases American salmon, os. 9d. and 10s. per doz.; Morton’s do, 9s. Cd.; 45 cases V.D.L. jams, atCs. od. and 7s. per do z. ; 10 cases lobsters, at 10s.: 15 cases i sardines, ss. 9cL and Cs. per doz.; 2 cases figs (xn boxes), at Ojd. per lb.; 1 bale comsacks, at 11s. per doz.; 2 qrs. Bisquit Duboucbe brandy, at Ca. Od. per gallon; 2 do Otard’s, Cs. 9d.; 25 cases Bisquit Dutouche case brandy, d.p., 475. per doz.; 15 cases flask do 549. per case ; 10 casks Bass's alo (by Porter), 11s. 3d.; 25 cases Tennant's do, 11s. per doz.; 10 m. cigars (Havannah), 110 s. per m., d.p.; lj tierce twist tobacco. Is. 9d. per pair ; maid’s Levant Garibaldi 5s ; men’s calf, e.s., 10s.; women’s memel, .. cd ; women’s memel kid, e.s., 4s. 9d.;do kid' e.s*. goloshed, Cs.; do patent toes, 75.; do o.s. patent strapped and tasselled, Bs. 6d. per pair.; men's uppers, 7s. 6d. and 7s. Od. per pair; goloshes. Is. 3d. per pair; 85 cases Iseison apples, at 2frl. per lb.
And on Thursday -50 cases _ American chairs, , .... *. ling per doz.: and a variety of other goods. at Mr G. Thomas sold on Friday-721 cases y.D.L. armies at 9a. per case; tons onions, at £lO per ton. in the produce trade quotations are unaltered from last week. Butter, in kegs, is difficult to place at 13d. to 14d per lb. for prime ; cheese, very scarce, and quoted at lid. to 12d. per lb., the high price however considerably checks the consumption of this article, and sales are limited; hams and bacon continue in moderate demand, supplies being short- ana prices remain at Is. to Is. 2d. per lb. for cloth packed; oats, in full supply, with advices of large shipment coming forward, present rates are 3s. sd. to 3s. liu., according to sample and parcel; fowl s feed is scarce, and worth 4s. per bushel; milling wheat, scarce at ss. Flour shows no improvement in value, with few sales to report, and holders are asking £ll to £lllos. per ton for Canterbury and Oamaru flour in sacks, but there is very little doing, and as shipments of Adelaide flour may be looked for there is not much prospect of Improved rates. . Mr Janies O’Shea quotes:—Flour, overstocked, £lO to £lO 12s. Cd. ; wheat, milling, none ; chick, nominal; oats, 3s. 6d. to 3s. 9d.. milling; maize, scarce, at 6s. to Gs. Cd.; pollard, £8; bran, U. 2d. to Is. 3d.: potatoes, 80s. to 905. ; cheese, lOid. to 11a., hams and bacon, 10£d. to Is.

Sd to 2s. 10d., for feed; milling, 3s. Flour same as last week. AUCKLAND, Friday. Mr. Buckland reports :—Store cattle, usual number: fat cattle, good supply, 170 sold; dairy cows, near calving, £8 to £10; steers, £5 ss. to £7 6 a. ; young cows, £3 to £4 10s. : few choice fat cattle, 405., but majority, 355. perlOOlbs.; sheep, cross-bred ewes, low condition, 14s. 6d. to 155.; fat, 4 ld. to ud. per lb.; pigs, short supply.
