* Means, &c. t Previous 11 years. Note.—Unpleasant cold showery weather prevailed during thi3 month with N.W. and S.E. winds, and frequently stormy. On 14th and 15th strong N.W. wind with rain ; and on the 16th severe thunderstorm, with vivid lightning and heavy rain about 7.30 p.m., cleared off during night. On 25th, 26th, and 27th, cold unpleasant wet S.E. weather and strong winds. Hail on Ist: fog on Bth, Oth, and 11th ; max. rain recorded on 4th l'lOin.; max. temp, in shade 67min 38°. Earthquake felt on 12th at 10.30 a.m., slight. R. B. Gore, Government Observer.
