The following are the particulars of wool sold at public auction by Messrs. Bethunc and Hunter, oth June, 187S:—All In grease.—7 bales half-bred flceco wool, 9d. per lb.; 3 bales half-bred lambs' wool, lOd. per lb.; 1 bale washed locks. Old. per lb.; 1 bale, locks, 6d. per lb.; 2 bales half-bred fleece wool, lOd. per lb.; 6 bales merino fleece wool, Od. per lb.; 1 halo locks, 3d. per lb. FOREIGN. (From the Melbourne Argus.) Our dates from Foochow are to 17th April. The teamen had mostly left for the growing districts. We have dates from Hongkong to 23rd ApriL There is nothing of interest to note regarding exports. The arrivals of coals amounted to CO7O tons, of which 1321 tons wore Australian. Best kinds of Australian were in good demand; 100 tons had been sold at 9dol. t09.50d01., ex Godown. Exchange was quoted at 4s. 2Jd. for bank bills at six months' Bight, credit at 4s. 2Jd. to 4s. 2{jd., and documents at 4a. 2J<l. From Singapore our advices reach to Ist May. A moderate business bad been transacted in produce. Black pepper was sold freely at declining rates, the prices having fallen from ll.OSdol. to 11.35d01. On delivery from next crop 55fi. had been paid for Samarang, West India preparation, and 63fl to 54f1. was offering in vain for ordinary. An auction sale was to be held on 30th April. Sales of black pepper were reported at 27f1. In nutmegs and mace there was nothing doing. The Eebecca had sailed for Melbourne on 17th April. The Massnijmph and FluelUn had been chartered to load for Melbourne at £1 7s. 6d. Exchange on England, six mdnths sight, was quoted at 11.87if1. for bank, aud 11.85 A. to 11.771 A. for private bills. „.'*«.» Saigon advices reach to 26th April. Owing to the number of steamers visiting the port, the price of rice had been supported. Sound grain was quoted at 1.24 dol., equal to 4s. B}d. per cwt. f.0.b., and long grain at 1.21d01., or 4s. 7Jd. per cwt. f.o.b. A decline, howaver, was not unlikely to occur. Black pepper ruled at 10.75d01. to lldol. per picul Freights were quoted at 22c. to 25c. to Hongkong To Valparaiso or Callao a charter had been made at £3 2s. 6d. ±,xchange on London, six months' sight, was quoted at 43. 2jd. for bank, and 4s. 3id. for credits and documents. - ■
