'',',,. . The p s Manawatu took her departure last evening for Napier, with a large cargo and several passengers. She ha. 3 taken the place of the Rangatira during that vessel's temporary lay-up. , The whole of the immigrants per Hmdostan were safely landed yesterday by the s.s. Napier, which was able to carry the passengers' luggage as well as them- ' selves quite comfortably. The embarkation and landing were completed in less than two hours. On leaving the vessel the passengers gave three hearty cheers for Captain Gregory, Dr. Donaldson, and Captain Butt, °. The barque Queen of the South has hauled into No. 6 berth, lately occupied by the Malay, the latter vessel taking No. 8 berth. Shortly after the immigrants were landed from the Hindostan, that vessel was brought alongside the wharf by Captain Fraser, and took No. 4 berth. In all probability she will break bulk to-day. The schooner Hannah Barratt sailed for Picton yesterday, with a cargo of coals and ous items, shipped by Mr. W. R. Williams and Messrs. Brogden and Sons.
