Little was done in shipping matters on Saturday. A. heavy rain feU all day, with little or no wind. Yesterday a miserable Scotch mist overhung the harbor and town, although later in the evening there was every indication of a strong breeze from the southeast. There was only one arrival and two departures, viz., the p.s. Rangatira arrived in harbor Last evening, at 8 p.m., from Poverty Bay and Napier, bringing 27 passengers and a general cargo. We are indebted to Mr. W. Will, the first engineer, for the report of the passage, which has been marked by thick and dirty weather. Left Poverty Bay at 4 p.m. on the 7th, with light fair winds, and arrived at Napier at 5,30 a m. on the Bth. Left Napier at 1 p.m. the same day, the winds being variable, accompanied by very thick, stormyweather till arrival as above.
