ENGLISH SHIPPING.
The Edwin Fox, from London for "Wellington, put back Dec. 13 with loss of anchors. On December 9 Messrs. Scott and Co., Cartsdyke, Greenock, launched from their shipbuilding yard a sailing ship of 1300 tons register, named the Timaru. She has been built for Messrs, Henderson and Co.'s line of packets between the Clyde and New Zealand, and is the eighth vessel of this size built this year for the same firm. The ship Kingdom of Italy, from London for Wellington, put into Portland on the 12th of January. The tonnage loading on the berth at London, January 22, for India, China, and the Cape of Good Hope, amounted to 04,315 tons, and for Australia and New Zealand to 47,417 tons.
