McMeckan/Blackwood and Co.’s fine aUwnw Albion, Captain Underwood, cleared Port Ehilllp Heads at four o’clock on the afternoon of the 10th instant, passing Swan Island twenty-one hours after. Arrived at The Bluff on the 15th, at 7.30 a.m., having steamed across in four days twelve hours. Light northerly wind favored the steamer for two days after leaving Melbourne, after which the weather, though beautifully fine, was from the southward. Remained at The Bluff ten hours, arriving at Port Chalmers at five on the morning of the 16th ; discharged a great quantity of cargo, and left for Timaru the same Loaded grain at that port, and left for Lyttelton at five o’clock on the evening of the 17th, arriving the next morning at 5.30. Left Lyttelton Well 1 n -iir at 0.30 p.m. on Thursday, and made fast to tlie Wellington wharf at 9.45 yesterday morning. Mr. horns; who formerly was purser of the Albion, has resigned, having received an appointment in Port Chalmers, the post being now filled by Mr. Jones, to whom we are indebted for files and favors. The Albion left at 0.30 last evening, for Nelson, West Coast, and Melbourne. The steamer Phoebe, Captain Worsp, arrived at eleven yesterday morning from Manukau, Taranaki, Nelson, and Picton. Strong south and south-west winds were encountered till Nelson was reached on Thursday morning hist, where a tide was lost owing to the steamer getting on a mud bank. Left Nelson on Thursday night at 6 o’clock, arriving at Picton, after a run of nine hours; left again at 8.30, and after a boisterous trip across Cook Strait, arrived in Wellington harbor as above. She proceeded to Lyttelton and Port Chalmers yesterday afternoon at 4.15 p mv. •> , The steamer Charles Edward.. Whitwell. master, ‘ arrived yesterday morning from Kekefaugi, with a full cargo of wool. She leaves again for Kekerangi at five this afternoon. The paddle-steamer Lyttelton, Scott, from Blenheim, arrived yesterday morning. She discharged her cargo, and sailed again last , night for the Wairau.

The fine schooner Marmion, Captain Bowton, arrived from the TeKopuru mills. Kaipara, yesterday morning. She crossed the bar on Monday morning last, and had light and variable winds down the coast; a southerly breeze, which was met with at Sinclair Head, bringing the schooner to ihe anchorage. She brings a cargo of (is,oooffc. sawn kauri timber consigned to her owner, Mr. Edward Pearce. The schooner Cynthia, with 42,000 ft. sawn kauri timber for Messrs. Greenfield and Stewart. arrived in port yesterday morning from Kaipara. She crossed Kaipara bar on Monday last,- north-west and variable winds marking the run down the coast. The schooners Flying Cloud and Herald arrived'in this port yesterday morning. Both vessels brought cargoes of grain. The steamer Stormbird, Captain Doiie, got away for Wanganui yesterday afternoon. The steamer Napier will leave for Foxton to-dav. The southerly wind which prevailed from daylight yesterday brought the schooner Kuby,to the Wellington wharf at 6 a.ra.

The ketch Falcon, Fisk, master, arrived yesterday from Blenheim, after a rough trip across.the Strait. The steamer Star of the South, Captain Farquhar, left the Iron Pot, Napier, at noon yesterday for Wellington. She may, therefore, be expected to arrive about midday to-day. The schooner Unity returned to port yesterday, having been unable to either land or ship cargo at Tewhite. She will sail again to-day.
