THE THEATRE ROYAL.
There was an excellent house at the Theatre Royal on Saturday, to witness the last performance of “ School.” On no occasion during the short run of this comedy has it been more carefully performed by the company, or better received by the public ; at the termination of each act, the “drop” as usual had to be raised to display the tableau. Mr, Massey also had again to respond to a call for his excellen t scenery. “School” is now withdrawn from the bills, not that it has diminished in public favor, blit to make way for other novelties. The first of these is “ Rosedale,” a drama never yet performed in New Zealand, but which met with great success in Melbourne and Sydney ; it will be played this evening. On Saturday the entertainment concluded with “ The Wandering Minstrel,” in which .Mr. Howard as Jim Baggs well sustained, the reputation he made in that character m.'in^years
