The attention of Owners of Machinery and Steam Boilers is called to the provisions of The Inspection of Machinery Act, 1874, which requires them, within a month from the date on which the Act is brought into force, to send a written notice to the Inspector of Machinery for the district in which such machinery or boiler may be, giving the name of owner, the place where such machinery or boiler is used, tho nature of such machinery, and the nature and amount of the moving power. The Act was, by Proclamation dated 'the 26th November last, brought into force in the Provinces of Auckland, Taranaki, Wellington, Marlborough, Canterbury, Otago, and Westland.
