WELLINGTON RIFLE ASSOCIATION
The annual meeting of the Wellington Eifle Association was held at Donecker s Hotel on Tuesday evening, Captain Crowe in the chair. The accounts for the past year were laid before the meeting by the honorary treasurer and passed. A vote of thanks was accorded to the treasurer, Lieutenant Sinclair, for his services during the past year. Lieut. Sinclair having declined to accept the treasurership for the ensuing year, Lieutenant Scott was appointed, and Lieutenant Thompson honorary secretary. The following gentlemen were elected a committee for 1875 : Lieutenant Sinclair, Captain Crowe, Mr. Ballinger, Corporal Nairn, Lieutenant Scott, Mr. Roundtree, Sergeant Turner, Lieutenant Thompson, Mr. Underwood, Mr. Lancaster, Sergeant Monck, and Mr. King. The annual competition for the Association prizes will take place at the Hutt on Wednesday, the 6th January, 1875. Firing to commence at 8.30 a.m. sharp. Subscriptions and entrance fees will be taken np to the hour of firing. _____
