Important Sale of Town and Country Lands. MR. JAMES SMITH has received instructions from Mr. T. D. M'Manaway, Surveyor, to sell by 'Public Auction, at his great Land Sale, to -be holden at the Mart, Noah's Ark, on Thursday, 16fh November, 1854, the following first rate properties, viz.: — Town Lands. HPOWN ACRE No. 787, having a ■*• frontage of 330 feet to Constable-street, and 132 feet to Daniel-street. • This acre fc situated near the Barracks, and is perfectly level. Town Acre No. 968, Adelaide-road, a very excellent and commanding plot of ground. • .„ Town Acre No. 1006, having a frontage of 132 to Rintoul-street, and 332 feet to Waira-pouri-street. This acie adjoins a block of 29 acres of rich land, Native reserve. Town Acre No. 1042, situated in Stanleystreet. The situation of this acre is particularly good. Town Acre No. 944, Rintoul-street, corner of Riddiford and Revans street, situated near the Barracks, on the high road, and is admirably situated for a first rate public house. This acre is staked out. Town Acre No. 326, Austin-street ; being near the swamp is admirably adapted for a Market Garden, the soil being extremely fertile. Also staked out. One Fourth Acre in Tasman-street, having a frontage of 48 feet by 264 feet in depth, abutting on the Ordnance ground. Well suited for a private dwelling house, commanding a fine view of the harbour. The whole of these Acres are staked out for parties to view the exact spots. Country Land. Section No. 89, containing 100 acres in the Ohariu district, 5 miles distant from Wellington, being the first section in that beautiful valley, known as Copp's Valley. The land is of the very best description, well watered, sheltered, and richly timbered. The proposed Government road will pass through this section : there is at present a good cart road within half a mile of this property. Upon application being made three days prior to the sale, a surveyor will attend to point out the site. Section No. 17, containing 100 acres in the Horokiwi Valley, having a frontage on the Nor*h Western road, and situated within two miles of the Porirua Harbor. The land is perfectly level, of the best description, and is well suited for agricultural or other purposes. JAMES SMITH has received instructions from William Couper, Esq., Porirua, to sell at his great land Sale, Noah's Ark, on Thursday, 16th November, 1854 'T'HE whole of his Valuable Town -*- Buildings, and Acre No. 658, Tinakori Road, comprising that large commodious and substantial Mansion, with Stables, Outhouses?, &c, built with the best seasoned Totara and Mahi timbers, under the superintendence of Edward Roberts, Esq., now in the occupation of his Honor the Superintendent, being leased fora term of 5 years from January last, at a rental of £82 per annum. ALSO, That beautiful Town Residence and Outbuildings presently occupied by Brigade Major Coote. This truly delightful property, from its picturesque position, desirable situation, being on the high load to the Hutt, and commanding an unlimited view of the harbour, renders it totally unnecessary for the Auctioneer to remark upon it, being so well known to the inhabitants of the Province. Beautiful Town Residence. MR. JAMES SMITH has been instructed by Edward Roberts, Esq., of the Royal Engineer Department (who is leaving the colony fo«* England), to submit to public competition, at his Great Land Sale, Ncah's Ark. Thursday, 16th November, 1854, HIS desirable Villa Residence and Land on Wellington Terrace (Town Acre No. 483). The house is substantially built of Van Diemen's Land timber on a brick foundation, has a good pump, and constant supply of excellent water, with capital brick drains and sewers, which render the whole premises remarkably dry and healthy. It is delightfully situated, commanding an extended and uninterrupted view of both ends of the Town and Harbour, and being, in fact, one of the most interesting situations in the Town or neighbourhood for a private resi- ; dence. It is aecessible-from both approaches to Wellington Terrace, and has a right of road from the beach on Lambton-quay. The Garden is tastefully laid out, and well stocked with fruit trees, and the whole ground substantially fenced in. Cards to view may be obtained by applying at the Mart.
