Civil Secretary's Office, Wellington, 25th September, 1853. WITH -reference to a Notice dated 29th July last, and published in the Government Gazette of the 4th instant, in which certain Departments of the Government therein enumerated were placed under the control of his Honor the Superintendent of the Province of Wellington, His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to direct that from and after the ] st of October next, the officers of the undermentioned Department, in addition to those specified in the Notice above referred to, shall receive instructions from, and make reports to, the Superintendent of the Province of Wellington.
