Sir, — It> your notice this-day, by way of report ol my ..remarks at the public meeting on Wednes-* day (which you call last, y v represent me as stating — " With respect to the two,, other points ip the amendment, Cheap Land and a Land Tax he had objections to both, which he should be prepared to state at ...the hustings oc at any time when called upon." , \ This is completely the teverse of what I stated. (I appeal to the public, ,tb,en preseqt.) The favorable audience then giye.n to. me forbids the supposition that my remarks were. misunderstood or imperfectly heard. To serve an electioneeriog purpose they have been misrepresented. A cause which needs such aid ii not honest. Let ihe^electors look out. - . ■ . - I remain your obedient servant, - • ROBT. HART. -- -
