fj. ENTLEMEN— Th<i Writs having been now issued, by request of many friends I beg to present myself as a Candidate for a seat in the Provincial Council of Wellington. Without entering ititd detail at this time as to sentiments and Opinions, I beg briefly to state that I am advocate for all that Is constitutional and liberal-— in favour of cheap land, and every measure that may tend towards the promotion and welfare of this Colony an" J the common good. Having been One of the vefy earliest settlers to Port Nicholson, and knowing most of you well — perhaps my own opinions may also hot be unknown — I shall therefore not here enter into any protracted exposition. Hoping you will take care to elect fitj proper, and honest Representatives. I have the honor to remain, Your faithful servant, KENNETH BETHUNE.
