TAHITI.

The Polynesian of the 26th ultimo, gives the following intelligence from Tahiti : — By the arrival of the Hawaiian schoonerFalmouth, Captain Wilson, 20 days from Auckland, via Tahiti, we have dates from the latter place to the 17th ult. From Capt. Wilson we learn that there had been another disturbance at Raiatea between the republicans and royalists. The half-bred native who was elected by the natives as President some time since had been overpowered by the adherents of Queen Pomare, and compelled to vacate his seat. But the triumph of the royalists was only a brief one, as the republicans obtained a reinforcement, ousted the royalists, and again installed the half- bred in the executive chair. The Queen, on learning the discomfiture of her party, started for the scene of action to attempt the subjugation of her rebellious subjects ; but such was their force that she was compelled to flee, and barely escaped with her life. She took refuge on board a French frigate, which sailed for the Sandwich Islands, and arrived at Lahaina on the day Capt. Wilson sailed. All was quiet at last accounts, under the new Republican President. The Falmouth brings no papers.
