The following is extracted from the Daily News, 9th June :— The New Zealand Command.—lt is supposed that the late Major-General Pitt will be succeeded by Lieut.-Colonel Wynyard, of the 58th Regiment, serving at New Zealand, and that no general officer will in future be appointed to this command.
