After the merits of various /OS plans bad been canvassed, it was very geneI rally agreed that as a first step it would be best to cut a surveyor’s line from the Wairau to Nelson, by way of the Kaituna and Pelorus, as this would become a starting point for further exploration, and enable persons to make themselves better acquainted with the B country. This desire has been made known to the Governor, and we suppose no time will be lost in giving it effect. Launch. —A smart little craft of about tons burden, built by a person named Poole, was launched at the Riwaka, on TuesBay, the 21st ultimo.
