HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.

A meeting of the Committee of the Horticultural Society was held on Monday evening at the Wellington Hotel, when the following resolutions were passed unanimously : Proposed by Mr. Ross seconded by Mr. Bradey — That the next exhibition of this Society be held on Tuesday the 20th November. Proposed by Mr. Lewis seconded by Mr. Spinks — That "the following Sub-Committee be appointed to make the necessary arrangements for the ensuing exhibition: — The Secretary, Treasurer, Messrs. Levin, Ross, and Major Baker. Proposed by Mr. Stokes seconded by Mr. Bradey — That the usual prize be offered for Cotlagers t Gardens at the second exhibition, of which due notice will be given.
