Bt the Sisters we have received Hobart Town Papers containing European intelligence to June 20th. A formidable attempt to excite the people of Paris to insurrection had been made by M. Ledru Rollin and the Socialist Republicans, but it had been completely put down by the prompt and effectual measures adopted by General Changarnier. Paris had been declared in a state of siege, and the Assembly had voted its sitting en
permanence. Other disturbances had broken out in different parts of France, but they had been quelled by the constituted authorities.
