[From the Government Gazette, Oct. 18.] PROCLAMATION. By His Excellency Edward John Eyre, Esquire, Lieutenant- Governor of the Province of New Munster, in the Islands of New Zealand, &c, &c, &c. TTI^HEREAS the undermentioned Ordi- * * nances enacted by the Lieutenant-Go-vernor of the Province of New Munster, in the Islands of New Zealand, with the advice and consent- of the Legislative Council thereof, were passed in the twelfth and thirteenth years of the reign of Her Majesty Queen Victoria, viz. : — No. 5. An Ordinance to confer upon the Lieutenant- Governor of New Munster, within the Province, the same powers in certain cases as are conferred on the Officer administering the Government of the colony for the time being. (1 6th June, 1849.) No. 6. An Ordinance to provide a cheap and expeditious mode of procedure against persons occupying land or premises within the Province of New Munster without right, title, or license. (16th June, 1849.) No. 7. An Ordinance to authorise the leTying and collecting of Rates, for the making and repairing of Roads, Streets, &c, &c, in any town in the Province of New Munster. (18th June, 1849.) No. 8. An Ordinance to appropriate the Revenue for the year one thousand eight hundred and forty-nine — fifty. (22nd June, 1849.) • -
