EVANGELICAL ALLIANCE.

A GENERAL MEETING of* the Members and Friends of the Wellington Branch of the Alliance, will be held (d. v.) on Monday evening next, the 18th instant, in the Scotch Church, Lambton Quay, for the purpose of agreeing to a Memorial to Earl Grey, against the proposed introduction ©f Convict Exiles into tbis colony. SEALED TENDERS for the Erection of Emulation Barracks, Stores, Out-build-ings, Oriice, School house, and'Cliurch will be received up to the 23rd instant, at the Canterbury Association Office, Thorndon Flat, wheie also drawings and specifications may be seen and further infoimation obtained. _ Approved security will be required for the due performance of the work.
