After child-birth, on Monday, September 4th, at Balham Hill, in the county of Surrey, Elizabeth, eldest daughter of the late Mr. W. Elmore, of Moorfield House, Handsworth, in the county of Stafford ; and the beloved wife of G. B. Earp, Esq., formerly Member of the Legislative Council of New Zealand, and long a resident in the town of Wellington, in that colony.

Murdered, at bis house, on the Porirua Road, on Thursday night, the 22nd instant, Mr. John Branks, farmer, aged 41 years; his eldest son, aged eight years and ten months ; Katherine, his only daughter, aged five years ; and John, his youngest son, aged two years and five months.
