Smith & Co., Agents. Post-office, Wellington, 10th January, 1849. From this date Mails will be made up for the Hutt District every Wednesday and Saturday, at 2 o'clpck : a postage of one penny must be prepaid, on all letters. Mr.. Charles Keys, who resides near the Hutt Bridge, -has undertaken to deliver the Letters on application, and will also receiye and forward every Wednesday and Saturday those posted with, him for Wellington ; the postage of such will be payable on delivery in Town. ~ It must be understood that the above applies only to local correspondence ; all letters arriving from beyond seas must be applied for, and the postage paid thereon at this office : and those for despatch out of New Zealand must also be posted before they can be forwarded.
