The case was referred for trial at the next Sittings of the Supreme Court.
The Queen v. Addams. — This was an information at the instance of W. Mills, a tidewaiter in H. M. The case was proved against the defendant, who became liable to a penalty of twenty pounds ; but, with the acquiescence of the Collector of Customs, the fine was, in this instance, not enforced ; the Bench having reprimanded Addams, and strongly impressed upon him the duty of strictly complying, in future, with the Customs' laws and regulations with regard to the accommodation of officers.
