NOTICE. Post-office, Wellington, 10th January, 1849.
From this date Mails will be made up for the Hutt District every Wednesday and Saturday, at 2 o'clock : a postage of one penny must be prepaid on all letters. Mr. Charles Keys, who resides near the Hutt Bridge, has undertaken to deliver the Letters on application, and will also receive and forward every Wednesday and Saturday those posted with him for Wellington ; the postage of such will be payable on delivery in Town. It must be -understood that the above applies only to local correspondence; all letters arriving from beyond seas must be applied for, and the postage paid thereon at this office : and those for despatch out of New Zealand must also be prepaid, before they can be forwarded.
