ENGLTSH NEWS.

Negotiations have been forsome time pending between her Majesty and the EarLof Aberdeen for a lease of Balmoral Castle, in the Abeideenshire Highlands, and having now been concluded, her Majesty has taken that beautiful and romantic place, together with the right of sporting over the circumjacent property, for the unexpired term of the lease held by the late Sir It. Gordon, under the Earl of Fife, a period of not less than twentyeigiit years. The furnilure in the Castle will also, it is understood, become her Majesty's property. The Queen will thus have a permanent residence in the Highlands of Scotland, Balmoral is about fifty-five miles from Aberdeen, where doubtless her Majesty and suite will land to take possession of her new acquisition. — Globe.

Aa account has come from, Constantinople of the reception of the Papal Nuncio Ferrieri by the grand vizier. That -sublime personage presented the i giaour with coffee and a' splendid jewelled pipe, and they sat on the same ottoman for an hour conversing, on .^things in general, and , puffing their chiboulcs in perfect amity.
