Licensed Victuallers' Purse, Catch Weights.

Capt. Daniells Scourge 4 4 dist. At starting Bullet Eye took the lead at a rattling pace followed closely by Little Pickle and Rainbow, when about half-way round Little Pickle gained on him and took the lead, the three horses coming in well together, there being hardly the difference of a neck between them, the other horses also being well up. The second and third heats lay entirely between Bullet Eye and Little Pickle, the former coming in winner in very good style. This race excited a good deal of interest, and was one of the fastest races that has been run in the settlement, the last heat having been performed in 4 minutes and 40 seconds.

This race, which concluded the second day's sports, lay between Rainbow and Mary B ane and was won easily by the horse, which was ridden by its owner with great judgment.
