WANGANUI.

Cricket Match. — The first match at this manly game ever played at "Wanganui, came off on the 31st December; and what with the very favourable weather, and the novelty of the scene, produced a good deal of excitement. The match was between the Light Company of the 65th Regiment and the remainder of the Garrison at Wanganui ; and after a close game, was won by the latter by nineteen runs. A tent was pitched on the ground, and every thing went off most satisfactorily ; and we only hope that the returnmatch, which will take place on Friday week, will afford as much amusement.
