-Sydney Shipping. The mail by the Sterling consisted of 3787 letters, and 14,259 newspapers, and that by the Ganges of 530 letters, and 150 newspapers ; making a total of 4317 letters, and 14,400 newspapers, received by the two vessels.
English Shipping. The Ramilies sailed from Gravesend for New Zealand on the 16th April. The Saghalien was to sail for New Zealand on the 15th May. The Berkshire. — The Berkshire, of London, was towed to Spithead from Cherbourg last evening, by the steam -tug Sir William Wallace, of London. She has lost fore and mizen masts, maintopmast, and bowsprit, in a tremendous gale, which she encountered about three weeks ago 800 miles to the westward of the Lizard. She is from Sydney with a full cargo, and had on board 15 f French passengers, who were safely landed at Cherbourg. She is jury rigged. The tug came into harbour at seven o'clock last evening to repair some damages she had sustained before she could proceed to London with her charge. — Times, April 16.
