WOOL MARKETS.
Leeds. — English : A better business lias been doing in the sales of wool (his week, ami last week's prices have been firmly supported. Foreign : The demand has been more animated siuce our last report, and, considering the season of the year, a fair amount of business has been transacted. Recent prices have been supported.
Wakefield. — There has a better feeling sprung up in the tra^e, and rather better terms have been obtained for some kinds of combing wools this week, which have imparted more firmness to the trade generally for all kinds of wools, long and short, although the consumers complain as loudly as ever of the uniemunerative state of the trade for yarn and goods.
Liverpool. — Our market has somewhat improved, in consequence of the favourable manner in which the London sales have concluded. Some sales were made on speculation, but the trade purchase with caution. Little has been done in Scotch, and prices, if anything, are lower. A few transactions in Alpaca have been reported about late rates. Impoits of foreign for the week, 32 bags; previously this year 72,470. Imports of Scotch, 641 bags ; previously this year, 18,243.
