Sydnkt? Shipping.— .The Haidee was to sail for Auckland on June 21st. The Posthumaus, Palettine, St. George^ and Triad were laid on for London. The Creisquear, a French vessel had taken on board 10 tons New Zealand flax for France. The Scotia made the passage to Sydney in 17 days. She was to sail for Wellington a few days after the 'London. The Bencoolen from Callao was wrecked off LiVerpoo! on Feb. 7th. It is supposed that in running up the Victoria channel the pilot took the north-east side of the Formby light ship, and being to leeward, ran on the bank. The Captain, the two mates, nine of the crew and the pilot were unfortunately drowned.
English Shipping. — The Mathesis, advertised for New Zealand, had been taken off the berth. ,The Madras was to sail on the 15th March, for all the ports in New Zealand, commencing with Wellington. The Clara, Capt. Crow was laid on for Nelson and the other New Zealand ports, and a ■vessel, name not mentioned, was chartered by H. M. Government for New Plymouth, Nelson, and Auckland. The NeUon, 602,- W. H. Lamond, was advertised as the Post Office packet for April.
Wellington Savings Bank. — Mr. Wm. Lyon, Rev. S. Ironside, Mr. H. Knowles, 'and Mr. R. Langdon, the Managers in rotation, .will attend to receive deposits at Mr. Ross's office, from seven to eight o'clock on Saturday evening, the 11th July, and at the UnionBank of Australia, from twelve to one o'clock on Monday forenoon, the 13 th July.
