Nothing of any importance had occurred there since the arrival of the Driver ; the Stains Castle was entering the harbour when the cutter left. The schooner Robert Burns, chartered by Mr. Yule, may be expected here daily from Poverty Bay with produce. The Slams Castle had an exceedingly quick passage to Auckland, "having made Cape Colville at the mouth of the Thames ia two days from Wellington. The Scotia has brought 26 tuna sperm oil, and 4 tuns of black oil, the produce of the fisheries to the Southward. When the Scotia left, a whale had been taken at Mr. Jones's station at Waikowaite.
