Notice is/hereby 6£rcH,isar ±S SEALED Tenders, will be received at this Office, by the Undersigned, until Monday the 16th of March nextat noon, for furnishing the Commissariat at Wellington, and at the River Hutt, with the supplies under mentioned, in such quantities as may be required during the twelve calendar months, commencing the Ist of April next, under the conditions hereafter specified, viz. Bread, -| Biscuit, I Flour, V at per lb. Fresh Meat, j Vegetables, J Or, the Ration of Bread and Meat, consisting of 1 lb. of each, may be tendered at per Ration. Rum, (West India,) at, per Imperial Gallon. Firewood, of a marketable description, and cut into 4 feet lengths, at per 100 lb. Mould Candles, at per lb. Dip Candles, at per lb. For Hospitals, &c. Arrow Root, Sago, Rice, Tea, ~\ Sugar, Oatmeal, Salt, Yellow L. f _„_ it. Soap, Pearl Barley, mixed Ye- f at per IDt getables, Potatoes, Fine Bread ■> Milk, at per pint. Port Wine, at per dozen. Vinegar, at per Imperial Gallon. Porter, at per dozen. Conditions.
QUALITIES OF THE SUPPLIES. Ist, AH the Articles to be of the best quality of the several kinds. Id, The Flour to be the produce of clean sound colonial Wheat, from which 20 per cent, in bran has been extracted. 3d, The Bread to be made from Flour of the same quality as described in the preceding paragraph, and to be baked 24 hours before being issued, in loaves of 2 lb. eacb. 4th, The Fresh Meat to be issued daily, and to consist of Beef and Mutton, in equal proportions, to be delivered in fore and hind quarters alternately, when the quantity admits of it. When Beef is issued, six inches to be cut off the hough and neck bones. sth, The mixed Vegetables for the Hospitals and other establishments entitled thereto, shall be supplied in reasonable proportions of Greens, Onions, &c. 6th, The Rum to be West India, 5 per cent, under proof. MODE OF DELIVERY. 7th, No part whatever of the supplies above specified, shall be received in charge of the Commissariat, but shall be delivered by the Con- * tractor direct, and at his expense, to the persons entitled thereto, at any place within the limits of the Town, upon the written order of the Commissariat Officer in charge, or of any person authorised by him for that purpose. General Conditions. £M, Each Tender sent in, in consequence of this advertisement, to be accompanied by a statement, signed by two competent persons, .and expressing their readiness, in the event of such Tender being t accepted, to become security for the due performance of the Contract, .which will then be entered into. The penalty of the bond to be equal to the estimated amount of two months' supplies, and, no supplies will be received until.the bond has been -duly executed. 9tA, Tenders for the supplies required ,at Wellington, may sent in. either, for the whole or any portion .of them, excepting those under the head of Hospitals, which must #11 be included in One Tender.
