ENGLISH NEWS.
By the Hooghly, London papers were received in Sydney t> the 18th May; we have extracted the Debates in the House of Commons on New Zealand affairs, and also the following news :—: — The Queen and Prince Albert were well. The Royal children were suffering severely from the hooping cough. The Great Free Trade Bazaar in Covent Garden Theatre appears to have been a very splendid affair. It was visited in one day by sixteen thousand people. Trade was brisk. The May wool sales were going on. There were eleven thousand bales of colonial wool to be offered. The former prices were maintained, and there did not appear to be any prospect of a reduction. Papers relating to New Zealand and New South Wales were laid upon the table of the House of Lords on the 22d April.
