ORIGINAL CORRESPONDENCE.
We insert the following letter relative to the observations we made last week on the injudicious division of the districts of New Zealand for the administration of justice. Our observations chiefly referred to the Chatham Islands, and to the inconvenience and injury resulting to the settlers here in being compelled to appeal for red-ess to the Supreme Court at Auckland instead of that of Wellington, and we shall be glad if the observations we have made, should have the effect of directing attention to the subject, and of causing to be altered thisanomaly, wbich our correspondent's explanation places in a still more striking light.
