Sir, —l observe that at Auckland, the Commissariat Department offers its Bills, to receive payment in Debentures. If this practice was followed here, the depreciation of the Debentures would not be so great, and they would not be looked upon with quite so much disfavour. —l am, Sir, yours, &c, August 15, 1845.
