MR. FITZHERBERT will sell by auction, on Thursday next, the twenty-seventh day of March, 1845, at one o'clock precisely, at his Mart, the following valuable effects, viz. : — Dining, drawing, and card tables. Sofas, ottomans, and mahogany chairs, Rich Turkey carpets, Damask curtains, Pier and other glasses, beds and bedsteads, Rugs, fenders and fire irons, Table covers, table and household linen of every descriptition, Two magnificent dinner and tea services, together with a great variety of kitchen and other useful domestic articles, Also.

A select library, two gold watches, and some jewellery. After which,

Sundry surplus stores, viz. — sugar, tea, soap, salt, jams and fruits, &c. Terms at Sale. Wellington, March 20, 1845.

IN THE SUPREME COURT.

Prince v. Bowler and others. BY VIHTUE of a writ of Fieri Faci as issued out of the Supreme Court in the above .cause, the Sherifg^RJjjJdjsai*se to be sold upon the premises at the Waiwatu, known as Bowler's Farm, on Thursday next, the 27th day of March instant, at 12 o'clock at noon, (unless this execution be previously settled) about — 7 tons of oaten hay, 160 bushels of barley, 500 bushels of wheat, 5 acres of potatoes, Several pig.s and various Farming Implements and utensils. After which, ~ Alt the right and interest of the defendant Eden Bowler, in and to the before mentioned farm, comprising 100 acres, and figured No. 27 on the plan of the Hutt District, under a lease dated 7th September, 1841, for the term of 21 years ; at a peper corn rent for the first 7 years, £50 per annum for the next 7 years, and &100 annum for the remainder of the term. Subject to a certain mortgage thereof, executed by the said Eden Bowler to secure the payment of £167, and interest £10 per cent, from the Ist day of September now last past. Henry St. Hill. Sheriff. WELLINGTON WESLEYAN SUDNAY SCHOOL.

TWO SERMONS will be preached in the Wesleyan Chapel, Manners-street, in aid of the above Institution on Sunday next, Easter Sunday, the 23rd inst. That in the morning at 11 o'clock, by the Rev. S. Ironside, and in the evening at half-past six o'clock, by the Rev. J. Watkins. In the afternoon at 3 o'clock, the children of the school will be examined in their knowledge of the scriptures and catechisms. Parents and friends are requested to be present. On Easter Monday a Tea Meeting will be held at 5 p. m., to which the friends of Sunday Schools are respectfully invited. Collections will be made after each of the above services in aid of the funds of the school. Wellington, March 21, 1845.

GENERAL ANNUAL LICENSING MEETING. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the General Annual Licensing Meeting for the District of Port Nicholson, will be holden at this Office on Tuesday, the 1-5 th day of April next, for the purpose of taking into consideration applications for Licences for the sale of fermented and spiritous liquors, in accordance

with the provisions of the Ordinance 5 victoria, Session 11., No. 12. All applications for such Lincences must be lodged with me at this Office, on or before Tuesday, the Ist April next. Alfred R. Chetham, Clerk to the Bench. Police Office, Wellington, March 14, 1845.
