German Club and Liedertaeel. —A preliminary meeting of Germans, with the object of establishing a German Club and Liedertafel, was held at the Canterbury Music Hall, Christchurch recently. Mr J. G. Rudden* klnu presided. After some discussion, Mr H. Cohen moved, and it was unanimously agreed to : —“ That the following gentlemen form a committee to draw up rules for the formation of a German Club and Liedertafel, to be submitted to a general meeting to be held at an early date Messrs Ruddenklau, Weber, Kissel, Linn, Vogel, Beg, Bourgeois Hanmam*, and the mover.
