XN pursuance of "The Electoral Act, 1905," I, ARTHUR HARRY HOLMES, Returnmg Officer tor he Electoral District ol Wellington Nortii do hereby give notice that, by virtue of a Writ bearing date the 22nd day of November, 1905, under the hand of the Clerk of the Writs, an election will be held for the return of a qualified person to serve as member tor tne said district; and that the latest day for receiving nominations of oandi dates will be the 28th day of November, 1905 , and that the poll, if necesaarv will be taken at the several polling-places of the said district on the 6th day of December, 1905. Every man desirous of becoming a oandlidate must be nominated by nov less than two electors of the district, by a nomination-paper as prescribed oy section 97 of the said Aot, delivered to the Returning Officer on or before thp 28th day of November, 1905. NOTICE OF LICENSING POLL. I N pursuance of "The Alcoholic JL Liquors Sale Oonitorol Act Amendment Act, 1895," I, ARTHUR HARRY HOLMES, Returning Officer for the Wellington Licensing District, do hereby give notice that on the 6th day of December, 1905, the dayappointed for taking the Electoral Poll of the Electors of the Electoral Districts of Wellington North, Wellington Central, and Wellington East, simultaneously therewith a Licensing Poll will be taken upon the following proposals . — 1. I vote that the number of licenses existing in the district continue. 2. I vote that the number of licenses existing in the district be reduced. 3. I vote that no licenses be gnaoited in the district. Nominations for the appointment of Scrutineers in accordance with "The Licensing Poll Regulation Act, 1899," must be lodged with me not later than 5 o'clock in^tlie afternoon of the 29th day of November, 1905. And I hereby give notice that I shall on the Ist day of December, 1905, at the hour of 9 o'clock in the forenoon, at my office in the Magistrate's Courthouse, Wellington, publicly consider all nomination pape/rs of pearsons to appoint Scrutineers in respect of the Licensing Poll for the said Licensing District, which have been duly lodged.
