MIRAMAR BOROUGH COUNCIL. THE BUILDING BY-LAW, 1905.

"VTOTIC'E l- heieby given that at a 1\ Special Meeting of the Miramar Boiough Council held on Wednesday, the Ist day of Fe<bruai\, 1905, the following lcsolution was passed, namely Resolution The Comical of the Boiough of Mnamar hereby makes (by Special Order) the following By-law under 01 by vntue ot "The Municipal Gorpon ations Act, 1900," and the vanous Acts amending the same, and under or by virtue or vi pursuance of all o>r any othei Acto and powers whatevei (if any) enabling the said Council m that behalf. The object and purport of the proposed by-law (which is to apply to the whole Borough) are . — 1. To incorporate part I. of "The General By-law, 1905." 2. To make provisions as to the deposit, custody, and amendment of diawxngs of buildings, and the commencement of the work ; as to the issue of permits, and the keeping of a register , as to external and party walls , as to the foundation, framing, floor joists, flooimg, roofs and loof covering of buildings , as to fire-places-, hearths, flues and chimneys of buildings , as to furnaces, stoves, ovens, etc., of buildings . as to sates and yen/til ations of buildings and the underfloors thereof ; as to area and frontage of building sites, and open spaces about buildings as to water and other pipers in buildings as to verandahs and s.gn-boards , as to the materials and dimensions of, etc., to be used in buildings, as to the removal and re-erection amd inspection of buildings , as to acts done in contravention of the by-law, and as to appli-

cations, permissions, notice^ and fee*, connected with buildings. A full copy of the By-law is deposited for inspection at the Office of th© Borough Council, Hunter-street, Wellington, and is open for the inspection of the public during office houir&i from the 21st da\ of Febmary, 1905, to the Xt day of March, 1905. The above Resolution will be submitted foi confirmation at the Ordinary Meeting of the Council to be held on Wednesday, the Ist day of March 1905, at 7.30 p.m., at the said Office of the Botiough Comical, when the date upon which the said By-law shall come' into foice will be fixed.
