This is

Company, without taking the profits of the "Bellevue Gardens" and "The Mansions" into consideration at all.

THIS COMPANY

Is being formed for the purpose of acquiring, as going concerns, the well-known Empire Hotel, in Willis and Victoria Streets, Wellington; the beautiful " Bellevue Gardens " and Hotel, Lower Hutt, and the high-class private hotel known as " The Mansions," Wellington ; and of consolidating, carrying on. and extending the businesses of these popular places of public accommodation. It is proposed to purchase these three properties for the sum of £130,000, of which the vendor receives £55,000 in cash and 4000 fully paid-up shares ; the sum of £55,000 remaining on fixed mortgage. The fact that local companies have a sum of £55,000 on fixed mortgage must be regarded as an undoubted proof of the soundness of the securities offered. "THE EMPIRE HOTEL" is the leading hotel in Wellington, and is one of the finest of its class in the Southern Hemisphere. It has two frontages, one to Willis Street, and one to Victoria Street — two of the leading business thoroughfares in Wellington. The value of the land, buildings, furnishings, and goodwill is assessed by reliable valuers at £111,200. The total receipts for the year 1903 were £28,671. The receipts for this year are at the rate of £33,423. ' Under the new regime, with substantial additions (rendered absolutely necessary through the constant stra.m placed upon the present accommodation owing to the great popularity of the hotel with tourists and the travelling public generally), and with the adoption of all the latest ideas in hotel management, " The Empire " is certain to return the Company fully 10 per cent, profit on the £130,000 capital of the

Consolidation naturally results in the reduction of expenses of management. In such a business as this it will ensure an enormous saving in the purchase of stock, provisions, and many supplies, which under the new management will be obtained on much more profitable terms.

These beautiful gardens, with the Hotel, close to the Lower Hutt Eailway Station, are valued by reliable experts at £21,233. During the two years ending February, 1904, the receipts were £10,221 os. 4d., representing a net profit of £1,675 12s. 9d. after an extra outlay of £1,609 10s. lOd. was incurred in repairs, up-keep, and generally improving the property.
