WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL. FOOTPATH CROSSING BYLAW. NOTICE is hereby given that the following Resolution was passed at a Special Meeting of the Wellington. Ciity Council held on Thursday, 19tk day of May, 1904, namely — RESOLUTION The Council of the City of Wellington hei eby makes by special order the following Bylaw under the p.io visions of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900," and in pursuance of aill other powers (if any) enabling the said Council in that behalf to amend "The Consolidated Bylaw, 1898 " The above resolution will be submitted for confirmation at the Ordinary Meeting of the Council to be held on THURSDAY, 16th day of June, 1904, at 7.30 p.m. at the Council Chambers,. Brand on-street , when the date on which the said Bylaw will come into fore© will be fixed. The object and purport of the amended Bylaw are as follows — To amend Clause 22 of "The Cotnsiolid'ated Bylaw, 1898" by the insertion of the words "Stone Settsi or Mineral Asphalte" after the words "Such Crossing to be of Wood Blocks." NOTICE is hereby given that the following Resolution was "oassed at a Special Meeting of the Wellington City Council held on Thursday, 19th day of May 1904, namely — RESOLUTION. The Council of the City of Wellington heieby makes by special order the following Bylaw under the provisions of "The Tramway Act, 1894," andl under all other powers (if any) enabling it in this behalf and for the purpose of regulating and carrying an the undertaking of the Wellington City Tramway (of winch undertaking the Council are "the promoters" within the meaning of the said Act) amd all extensions of suoh undertaking hereafter to be made. The above Resolution will be submitted for confirmation at the Ordinary Meeting of the Council to be held on THURSDAY, 16th day of June, 1904, at 7.30 p.m., at the Council Chambers, Brandon^street, when the daite on which the said Bylaw will come into force will bei fixed. The object and purport of the proposed Bylaw are as follows : — 1 To repeal "The Tramways ByDaw, 1900." 2. To provide Bylaws and Regulations foi the control and management of the Wellington City Tramways. WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL. OPEN-AIR FIRES BYLAW. NOTICE is hereby given that the following Resolution was passed at a Special Meeting of the Wellington City Council, held on Thursday, 19th May. 1904, namely — RESOLUTION The Council of the City of Wellington hereby makes by way of special order the following Bylaw under the provisions of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900," and in pursuance of aill other nowers (if any) enabling the Council in that behalf to amend "The Consolidated Bylaw, 1898." The above Resolution will be submitted for confirmation at the ordinary Meeting of the Council to be held on the 16th day of June, 1904, at 7.30 p.m., at the Council Chambers, Bran-don-street, when the date on 1 which, the said Bylaw will come into force will be fixed. The obiect and purport of the proposed Bylaw are • — To repeal Clause 270 of "The Consolidated Bylaw. 1898," and to enact in lieu thereof — 1. It shall not be lawful to make or light, any open-air fire without permission in writin*: from the Superintendent of the Fire Brigade. 2. No fire shall be lit within 10 feet of any building, fence, street, public place or adjacent land. 3. No fires shall be lit between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. or on Sunday. A full copy of this Bylaw is deposited for inspection at the offices of the City Council, Brandon -street, Wellington JTNO. R. PALMER, Town Clerk. 25th May, 1904.
