FOOTPATHS SWEEPING BYLAW NOTICE is hei eh- given that the follow i 11,^ Resolution was passed at a Special Meeting of the Wellington City Council held on Thursday, 19th May, 1904, namely — RESOLUTION The Council of the City of Wellmgtom hereby makes by special ordei the following Bylaw under the -"ovisions of "The Municipal Coipoiratioms Act, 1900," and in pursuance of all other powers (if any) eauablmg the saad Council in that behalf to amend "The Consolidate ed" Bylaw, 1898." The above Resolution will be submitted for confii mat'ion at the Ordinary Meeting of the Council, to be held on THURSDAY, 16th day of June, 1904, at 7.30 p.m., at the Council Chambers, Brandon-street, Wellington, when the date on which the> said Bylaws will come into foice will be fixed. The object and purport of the amending Bylaw are as follows • — To amend Sub-clause 7 and Clause 8 of "The Consolidated Bylaw. 1898," bv the insertion of the words "half-past" before the fierure "8" in the first line of the said Sub-Clause 7. The object and purport of the amending Bylaw are • — To repeal all the words aftei the word "Fence" in Clause 300 of "The Consolidated Bylaw, 1898," and to substitute m lieu thereof the following words — "If a sacred concert, lecture, or other like entertainment gh&LI be given on Sunday no charge shall be made for admission or the occupation of any seat, whether reserved or not, and no collection of money shall be made except at the doors of the building when the audience is leaving the hall."
