WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL. PROPOSED -MOTOR CARS" BYLAW. NOTICE is hereby given that the following Resolution was passed at a Special Meeting of the City Council of Wellington, held on THURSDAY, Bth Octobei', 1903, viz. — RESOLUTION. The Council of the City of Wellington dotih hereby make (by way of Special Order) the following By-law, under the provisions of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900," and "The Motor Care Regulation Act, 1902," and in pursuance of all other oowers (if an-") authorising the Council in such behalf. The above lesolution will be submitted for confirmation at the Ordinary Meeting of the Council to be held on THURSDAY. sth November, 1903, at 8 p.m., at the Council Chambers, Bran-don-street, V/ellington, when, the date on which the said By-law will come into force will be fixed. The object and purport of the amending By-law are as follow — To provide for the licensing and regulation of Motor Cars, and for the licensing of Drivers thereof, and to enable the City Council, by resolution publicly notified, to prohibit the use of Motor Cars in any street or length of street. A full Copy of the Bye-law is deposited for inspection at the Office of the City Council, Brandon-street. JNO. R. PALMER, Town Clerk. 14th October, 1903.

Fares include Admission to Racecourse. On 21st and 23rd October, trains for Racecourse will run as* under : — Te Aro dep. 10.10, 10.40 ll.ot, 11.45 a.m. and 1.0 p.m. Wellington dem 10.25, 10.50, 11.15f, 11.55 a.m., and 1.15 p m. Return trains will leave Racecourse at 4.55t, 0.40t, 6.5, and 6.30 p.m. tWill not stop between Wellington and Racecourse. On 23rd October, the usual afternoon train. Te Aro to Masterton, will not leave Te Aro until 5.30 p.m., Wellington 5.46, Petone 6.10, Lower Hutt 6.15, Greytown 8.50 (arr. 9.17), Masterton arr. 9.57 p.m. (The usual 10.0 p.m. goods tram, Masterton to Woodville, will connect with this train).
